Throughput — the actual data transfer speed between a CDN node and the user. Measured in Mbps.
This metric is critical for:
video streaming and live broadcasts
websites with large images and files
software and game distribution
What do the Throughput charts show?
Average download speed trend chart (cached/notcached) — two key scenarios. Cached — the speed at which files are served from the CDN cache, reflecting real infrastructure performance. Notcached — the speed when fetching from your origin server. A large gap between the lines shows how important it is to configure caching correctly.
Cities with low speed — regions with congested uplinks or insufficient local node capacity. Critical for audiences in those specific locations.
Providers with low speed — a comparative bandwidth ranking. A provider with capacity headroom does not throttle speeds during peak load hours.
